Medical Office Building Acquisition and Development

Medical real estate development has been the core business of our founder for over 27 years. He also co-managed over $1.2 billion in transactional volume in partnership with some of the largest healthcare systems and public capital in the market place today. 

ARE's medical office building acquisition and development is based on direct alignment of physicians and healthcare services necessary to provide the continuum of care represented in the market. Medical office buildings are acquired or developed in proximity of hospital systems, allowing further alignment of services to increase physician efficiency and reduce lease turnover. 


Elder Living Community Acquisition and Development

ARE targets the acquisition or development of elder living communities in markets that are currently underserved or exhibit signs of a strong growth trend. The three types of elder living include, independent living (“IL”), assisted living (“AL”) and Alzheimer’s care, referred to memory care (“MC”). A community may consist of independent living, assisted living, assisted living and memory care, or a combination of all three.

ARE utilizes the expertise of Integral Senior Living (“ISL”) to operate its elder living communities. ISL was founded in 2000 and is a leader in the profession. ISL currently operates over 47 properties.


Joint-Venture Opportunities

ARE has the ability to collaborate with hospital systems through a joint-venture partnership in the development of individual medical delivery platforms or medical campuses. A medical delivery platform may include medical office buildings, outpatient surgery centers and hospitals.

ARE is able to adapt its services to structure joint-venture partnerships that are in the best interest of both organizations. This flexibly allows both organizations to achieve their unique business objectives.

In favorable markets conditions, ARE would development an elder living community on the medical campus. This allows ARE to efficiently align preventative and restorative care with the medical and healthcare services provided on campus by the hospital and physician network.
